banking: it gets even better....

so it turns out that the banks take holidays... all the time! i desposit cash quite regulary into my account, and one one such occasion the bank held my "cheque" (love the arcane spelling) for an additional 5 busines days....

enter the bad news: all the payments i had made against that cash deposit began bouncing.

it turns out that the bank had a strange coinicedence of holidays and as a result didn't get to empty the ATM until quite some time after my deposit. I called them on it, and the (hold steady now)

admitted blame.

they went so far as to MAIL me (as in stamp, signature etc) a letter. of apology.

really. seriously.

to good right? I am on a friggin roll with the US banking system!
